Contract Manager – Middlesbrough & Stockton
Heb Cleaning & Hygiene + Security is seeking a motivated and experienced Contract Manager to lead and manage our cleaning and hygiene services across a portfolio of sites in Middlesbrough, Stockton, and the surrounding areas. About the Role:
As a Contract Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all sites under your remit meet Heb’s renowned standards of service quality, hygiene compliance, and client satisfaction. You will work closely with operational teams, providing leadership, training, and ongoing support to maintain a high-performing workforce. Your proactive approach will be vital in addressing client needs, resolving issues promptly, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday. There will be an occasional requirement for weekend work to support operational needs, but any weekend hours will be compensated with time off in lieu. Flexibility and commitment to delivering exceptional service are essential in this role.

You will also oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and development of cleaning operatives, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed. This role demands a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cleaning and hygiene services across multiple sites in Middlesbrough, Stockton, and nearby areas
- Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, while delivering exceptional service standards
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring satisfaction
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of operational teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular site audits, resolve operational issues proactively, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure compliance with company policies
Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrable experience in contract management, ideally within the cleaning, hygiene, or facilities sector
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and staff
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and hygiene compliance standards
- A valid driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
