Heb Group Takes Part in Kier’s Moving Through May 2025 Charity Campaign
As part of our continued commitment to social impact, health, and wellbeing, Heb Group is proud to support Kier Group’s Moving Through May 2025 campaign, not only as a Regional Headline Sponsor for Yorkshire, but through direct participation by members of our team.
This nationwide charity initiative is designed to encourage physical activity, raise awareness around mental health, and generate vital funds for local charities. Across five UK regions, Kier’s goal is to raise £100,000 in support of up to four regional charities per area.
What is Kier’s Moving Through May Campaign?
Moving Through May is a month-long charity initiative led by Kier Group, one of the UK’s leading construction and infrastructure firms. The campaign brings together teams across the construction, facilities management, and built environment sectors to complete physical challenges while fundraising for local causes.
Participants are encouraged to walk, run, cycle, swim, or paddleboard their way through May, promoting employee wellbeing, team building, and social value delivery. A key feature of the campaign is the Baton Challenge, where a symbolic baton is passed between sites using only non-motorised travel.
Heb Group’s Involvement in Yorkshire
On Tuesday 14th May, Aidy Oram and Jordan McConway, both based in Heb Group’s Leeds office, stepped up to represent the business during the Yorkshire Baton Challenge. The pair completed their leg of the journey on foot, joining others across the region in helping the baton travel between offices and sites.

Their participation not only reflects the culture of teamwork at Heb Group, but also our hands-on approach to community involvement. Our Leeds team showed great energy and enthusiasm throughout the challenge, proudly walking on behalf of the business and contributing to a shared industry goal.
Why This Matters to Heb Group
Heb Group’s support of Moving Through May forms part of our wider focus on corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, and community impact. With operational hubs across Sheffield, Doncaster, Leeds, and the Northwest, we are committed to strengthening local relationships and contributing meaningfully to the places where we work.
Campaigns like this offer more than just fundraising opportunities, they promote positive habits, open conversations around mental health, and build stronger connections between teams. For businesses in the construction, facilities management, and engineering sectors, these campaigns are a powerful way to deliver social value beyond the workplace.
A Shared Industry Commitment to Wellbeing and Social Value
Kier’s Moving Through May campaign continues throughout the month, with dozens of organisations taking part across the UK. From M&E firms and cleaning providers to large-scale infrastructure contractors, the campaign is an example of cross-industry collaboration with a focus on charity, connection, and wellness.
As a proud headline sponsor for Yorkshire, Heb Group is committed to supporting industry-wide initiatives that align with our values, especially those that promote mental health awareness, community engagement, and physical wellbeing in the workplace.
We’re proud of our team for getting involved, and we look forward to continuing our support of meaningful campaigns like this one.
