The scheme included the complete replacement of the central heating plant, to a gas fired 4 No modular boiler installation on pre-fabricated skid arrangement (from steam fed heat exchangers) and full new BMS to the full building.
All works were completed while the building was kept live/operational. The end client was University of Sheffield, but the building was located on the Northern General Hospital Campus, so we had interfaces with hospital wide systems (electrics and steam).
Heb Group were the Principal Contractor, so dealt with all Health and Safety matters, including 14m high external flue mast, passing through existing roof structure. We completed specialist plant strip and minor builders work, including removal of plant plinths and openings in walls/doors.
