Advanced M&E Services for Ferdinand Bilstein UK's Distribution Hub

Client:
Ferdinand Bilstein UK

Heb Group engaged in an extensive collaboration with Henry Boot Developments, Ferdinand Bilstein UK, and principal contractor Bowmer & Kirkland for M&E services.

Project Details

The project focused on installing advanced mechanical systems to support Ferdinand Bilstein UK's operations. Key components included:

  • Smart Building Maintenance Systems that optimized ventilation, heat recovery, and air conditioning across multi-use office and welfare areas.
  • The main warehouse was fitted with racks and heated by low-temperature hot water (LTHW) fed radiant panels, installed at a minimum height of 15.5 meters to prevent operational disruption, complemented by extensive natural ventilation and gas-fired door heaters.

Electrical Systems

On the electrical side, we supplied medium voltage (MV) power to substations, alongside low voltage (LV) systems and a photovoltaic setup for renewable energy.

We installed LED energy-saving lighting throughout the warehouse, office, and welfare spaces, incorporating daylight and motion sensors for optimal efficiency. Additionally, we completed enabling works for IT, data, and telephony systems to meet Bilstein's specific requirements, including two large server rooms equipped with close control AV units.

This project showcased The Heb Group's ability to manage complex M&E installations while fostering strong collaboration among various stakeholders. The advanced systems installed not only enhanced operational efficiency but also contributed to Ferdinand Bilstein UK's sustainability goals.
